“Hi Sean, I am a member of Making sense of Fluoride a Society formed to counter the misinformation around water fluoridation. I and many members who comprise scientists, dentists, toxicologists and other concerned people have been subject to many death threats. Most of these are on social media – we have a Facebook page dedicated to answering all questions and are attacked regularly from anti-fluoridationists – I myself have been told to ‘euthanise’ myself during a heated online discussion.

Here is some screenshots of threats we have gotten in the past.
This one is the worst. While we didn’t get this one directly, we need to watch out what anti-fluoride groups we join. We have written about Kevin before.
Don’t protect these people by not showing their names. Death threats and the like should be shown, and the people held responsible.
Exposing these people publicly leaves them open to vigilante retribution. If any sort of action is to be taken against them, then it should be done through the processes of the legal / justice system.
That honestly never even occurred to me. However, it would be rather odd for vigilante actions to be taken when its on a topic of this type; essentially condemning it. Only thing I meant was that (besides proper legal actions) these people should be exposed to the social ramifications of their threats. Death threats and threats of harm are inexcusable and any harm to their social identity that comes, is well deserved.
